Hi,

I've been away for a while, and just started up my MacPro to create a DVD for my customer, and the keyboard (bluetooth) is not responsive.

So, I can't log in!!!!:eek::(:mad:

I don't have a USB keyboard laying around... so I can't get into the system.
Does anyone know a way to get the MacPro to open the disk bay and boot off the DVD? I should then be able to tie the keyboard back to the system????

TIA,

JM

Try holding the mouse button down (maybe that didn't lose it's paring if it's BT)

No, pairing did not get lost there... I can still use my wireless mouse. Also, I do have a Waccom mouse... hold the mouse button down while it boots?

What do i do after?

Regards,

Holding the mouse button when turning on the machine 'should' eject the cd. What to do after that I'm not sure (you mentioned booting off install dvd to fix)..I'm not that OSX Savy.

Good luck

Ok, yes I have the DVD in the drive... the BT mouse works. Also, I have a Wacom and used that mouse just to be sure..... Now what? any way to get a boot of DVDROM without the keyboard shortcuts?
