All,

I just purchased the ipod touch on Saturday. I went from a 2g ipod touch to the latest one (4g). I have to say, despite all the complaints folks have had in the forum, I think it's awesome! Still learning new things about it every day lol...

Question, I remember back when the 3g model was released that it gave the functionality of using a bluetooth device such as a keyboard. Is this true or is the bluetooth functionality only for headphones?

Let me know...

Thanks! That is cool to hear... Actually, I already have a mac wireless bluetooth keyboard and mouse. Can't wait to try it out!

Actually I have the latest bluetooth keyboard Apple released so I think I'll be ok... I'll check it out after work tonight :)

I can confirm that my iPod works fine with the apple wireless keyboard.

You can also hook it to a VGA monitor or HDTV at 1024x768.
(only ipod touch 4G, iphone 4 and ipad)

I own the Apple Wireless Bluetooth keyboard as well as the iPod touch 4G.

I can say that it works flawlessly.

Even the brightness / play, pause, next, previous / volume buttons work. :)

gianly1985, how do you accomplish this? Wouldn't you need a special cable or HDMI cord to get this to work?

You need this:

then a VGA cable:

If you're rich, you can also ADD this:

http://www.engadget.com/2010/02/19/atlonas-vga-to-hdmi-adapter-ditches-the-brick-does-1080p-on-us/

in order to get an HDMI signal, in case your HDTV/Display doesn't sport a VGA input. But that should NOT be the case, as most HDTVs nowadays have a so-called "PC input", that is nothing more than a VGA port.

But if you want HDMI, you'll need the pricey Atlona converter.

There's no DIRECT way to output HDMI, unlike on other handheld devices like the Nokia N8.
