Bluetooth keyboard problem

After just over a year of use, my bluetooth apple keyboard stopped working. It happened suddenly. I changed the batteries but it's still refusing to work. The small green light on the bottom of the keyboard doesn't turn on when i switch the keyboard on.

Any idea what might be the problem?

Are you sured the batteries are installed the correct way? Have you tried multiple sets of batteries? Did you make sure the switch is moved to the on position?

Yes, i tried all your suggestions: freshly charged batteries, double checked batteries' position and switched the keyboard on but still the keyboard won't work.

Any other suggestions? or is time to get a new keyboard?
