Bluetooth Keyboards

I tried setting up an older (2-3 years) bluetooth Apple keyboard with my iPad2. Both were "discoverable" but I got an error message telling me my keyboard isn't supported.

It's an APPLE keyboard!!! What am I doing wrong?

The iPad doesn't posses a full bluetooth stack, so it's not able to sync with most bluetooth devices. Just some.

Thanks for the reply. Is there a way to tell which devices are compatible with the iPad? I've searched the Apple site, but have been unsuccessful.
