My father recently bought an iPhone 3G S and wanted to use his handsfree bluetooth with it. The iPhone doesn't find any bluetooth devices and I don't know what's going on. I tried it with my phone too, but the same thing happened. I went onto the Apple website and found an article, but I didn't understand it very well.

Are there only iPhone specific bluetooth headsets?

As long as the headset supports a Hands-Free Profile (HFP) and Bluetooth 2.1 it should work fine with the 3GS. May I know what headset your dad is using?

Apple has these hands-free stuff on their online store.

It is a Jabra one. I don't know which model it is though. I don't think it's compatible with the iPhone because it doesn't even show up on my own iPhone.
