Bluetooth not staying connected to car.

I have a 1st generation iphone and my bluetooth was working fine, but last week I upgraded to the 2.2 version and now it won't stay connected.
I have a Jeep Liberty with uconnect. It pairs up fine, but then it goes in and out repeatedly.
I have tried to reset everything, I unpaired and repaired, and I restored my iphone, but nothing will fix this.
Any ideas or help?
