So I cant get my bluetooth to work. It turns on and picks up stuff, but it won't pair. Any ideas on what might be wrong?

And if I can't fix it, would Apple?

Have you restarted your computer?

Navigate to: Library/Preferences/com.apple.Bluetooth.plist and trash it.

Then, try and replace the batteries of the devices you are trying to pair

Turn off and on the devices you are trying to pair.

Try these things and post back.

The device(s) I've been trying to pair with definitely are working. I tested them with my brothers MBP as well as my friends MBP (both identical model to mine) and it just worked. I did the restarting and deleting but nothing changed. When I try to pair, I enter the passcode on my phone, then enter the passcode on the computer but immediately (less than a second) I get this error message:

"Pairing with this device was unsuccessful.

The attempt to pair with this device failed, most likely due to a passcode wasn't entered correctly. Try pairing with the device again."

I am definitely entering the passcode correctly though. I've tried it probably 10 times now, and none work, plus I have no problems on the other computers so.... not me.

I just want to figure out if my computer is configured incorrectly or if it's actually messed up.
