Bluetooth not working

Recently I have been having troubles with bluetooth. Whenever I turn bluetooth on the blued process uses anywhere from 25% - 50% CPU and never stops. Nothing will connect to it either. Restarting will fix it for a while but then it starts again. I am using OSX 10.5.8.
