Bluetooth on watch

Can someone explain to me why or the advantage of having bluetooth on your watch? If you have to have your phone on you all the time anyway to use it why not just use the bluetooth on your phone for wireless headphones etc...

only thing I could maybe see is if you happen to store a few songs on your watch and leave your phone elsewhere, is this what its mainly for?
