I recently upgraded from a PowerBook to a MacBook Pro. I no longer have access to the PowerBook for regression testing, so I hope to get some help here.

Today I tried to connect the MacBook Pro to the internet on the iPhone via Bluetooth, and of course since this was the first time with the new computer it was not paired with the iPhone.

The iPhone remembered the old (and now defunct) pairing with the PowerBook, so I told the iPhone to forget it. I turned on Bluetooth on the MBP and made it discoverable, then did the same for the iPhone. I opened the Bluetooth Setup Assistant on the MBP and it started searching for devices, but the iPhone didn't show up in the list. I rebooted the iPhone and tried again, but this made no difference.

I can get the BT address of the iPhone from the Settings, but I can see no way to manually enter it in the MBP pairing dialog. Now I am lost for further ideas, and I would welcome any suggestions from forum readers!
