On The Nickel, over there....
Hi,
I have a late 2007 24" Al iMac, 2.4GHz, with a BT Mighty Mouse. Tonight, for the first time ever, I got two separate dialog boxes titled "Bluetooth Pairing Request", one from Ana and one from Lydia. Neither of these are my names. I recently moved into this apartment complex. Could the pairing requests be coming from a neighbor?
To answer myself, I think it is coming from a neighbor. I just went into the BT menu and clicked on Set Up Bluetooth Device. It didn't find my MM, but it did find a couple of mobile phones with the above names. Anyway, I rejected those two original pairing requests. I also have Airport turned off. So I don't think anyone can access my iMac.
Thanks for any additional info on this pairing stuff. I've never come across it before.

I don't use bluetooth much, but I think you can put a damper on this by unchecking "Discoverable" in Bluetooth preferences, which i believe means other Bluetooth devices then can't find your computer. I could be wrong though.
