Hi all,

I just solved a frustrating couple weeks of Bluetooth connectivity issues and wanted to post what worked for me. (I couldn't find a solution online, so I ended up on the phone with support...) I'm using a MacBook Pro on 10.6.4., fyi.

After previously working, both my keyboard and Mighty Mouse stopped pairing. I'm sure I took the batteries out several times with the computer on. (Who would have thought you couldn't do that?! When I'd try to pair the mouse, the little wheel would just spin forever and accomplish nothing. With the keyboard, I could get the pairing passcode to generate but the computer wouldn't recognize my input. So:

1. I powered my computer and mouse off.
2. I held down shift + control + option then hit the power button for half a second (not long enough to power the computer on.)
3. I held down command + option + P + R, and while doing so, turned on the computer.
4. I let go of these keys after hearing the boot-up chimes twice.
5. I went into user/library/preference and trashed the file called com.apple.bluetoothsetupassistant.plist.
6. I rebooted the computer.
7. I turned on my bluetooth devices.
8. I used the "Set Up Bluetooth Device" assistant available through the bluetooth dropdown menu at the upper right corner of the screen.
9. Everything worked.

Hope these instructions save someone else frustration!!!
