Hi, 1st time here. Upgraded a 3,1 e.2008 about 2 years ago using dosdude's patch. Upgraded the GPU to a GTX 680. Ran Catalina beautifully and had a functioning Bluetooth & Firewire.

Two weeks ago Backed up my #1 drive on Time machine. Erased and tried Open Core LP Monterey. After about 10 tries tried Big Sur. At that point I thought I started having problems creating a boot disk, I went down the rabbit hole. I tried going back to Yosemite, Catalina, El Cap. Finally (probably by accident got Big Sur to Install. The EFI works- I get the boot screen. But for the life of me cannot get the Bluetooth or Airdrop to work.

I upgraded Drive # 2 from El Cap to Catalina- (that was easier but) for some reason this time BlueTooth doesn't work on Catalina.

Drive #3 has El Capitan. If I boot into that BT works, so we know the module is good. Some people say zapping the PRAM 5 times does the trick, but somewhere in github they said zapping PRAM I would have to reinstall again
Though I am not afraid of the Terminal, I am wondering if anyone has an idea of what would be easier-replacing the module, PCI card or some patch I'm missing.
Also I know Apple dropped support for Firewire after Mojave or HS. Any chance that I can get my iSight firewire camera to work in Big Sur after the firewire issue is fixed?
Thanks
