Anyone have any experience with the Bluetooth home button remotes like these?:
Beanco Mobile Home
Satechi Home Button
iBolt Command Remote
These buttons presumably allow the convenience of Siri Hands Free without factory integration.
The Beanco would be perfect, but is a bit pricey.
The Satechi is also nice, but there are complaints about its construction, and 10 bucks more nets the iBolt which is a multi- not single-tasker. But its review are few and decidedly mixed.
There are a plenty of remote shutter controls, but they won't work; too bad, 'cause they're cheap as well.
For whatever reason, Apple doesn't allow contact "pushing" via BT in iOS, so it's a hassle, if not impossible, to try to load phonebooks into some car stereo setups.
I figure the next option is to just forget about uploading the phonebook, and use Siri to voice dial directly on the phone. Hey Siri would also work, but my phone doesn't support powerless operation, so it would need to be plugged-in every time.
Hence, one of these solutions.
