Hi,
I just recently purchased a canon mp500 printer for my MPB. The printer is bluetooth capable (With an adapter). I'd like to use this feature as it would eliminate another wire from my setup. I'm sort of confused about the bluetooth protocol however. Everything I read says it's secure and such. I was just wondering if this applies to the actual use of the device. If I'm using the printer with my laptop in the room does that mean that anyone else who has a laptop in the very near vicinity (with bluetooth) could just wirelessly use the printer too? I'm just curious. Not that it's a huge deal, but it would be nice if i could just set the printer to work with my notebook, much like the way a usb cable works for security sake. Does anyone have any experience with this type of thing?
Thanks!
