Bluetooth shows connected, will make phone calls but will not stream music

I have a 2015 Fiat 500, the stereo has a bluetooth component that they call "blue&me". While driving to the store I was able to stream music from my new iphone 11 to the car stereo but on my return trip it would not play even though it showed on the phone and the stereo that it was connected, no music. So, I tried calling my wife from the phone, it came through the stereo but after the call I tried streaming the music, it showed connected, but no sound. I got home, unpaired my phone with the "blue&me" system, hit the button to pair it again, new pin number, I typed it into the phone, it showed connected but again no streaming music.
