Bluetooth signal strength in Mavericks?

I have a Sony soundbar connected to my TV that I also use to play music from spotify through.

I just bought a 15" MBPr and it came yesterday in the mail.

I sit 4 feet from the soundbar... yet it skips insane. I can't pinpoint what is the culprit.. all I know is that sometimes it works perfect and other times it will skip 100 times a minute.

I have read guides on how to measure bluetooth signal strength... but none of them appear to work in Mavericks. It's almost like the feature was removed

Yes can’t see signal in Prefs,

Still can see signal in Menu bar item Bluetooth :

Click on Menu bar BT item while holding alt.

Mouse over the connected device for infos.
