Bluetooth Speed

does anyone know exactly how fast bluetooth is because i'm just wondering

at the moment, bluetooth is only capable of 1mb per secound.

but I was reading on the bluetooth site that in the coming months and year/s they will be pushing the bluetooth limit to 10mbs per secound

which of course is still slower than even USB.
