Last week the Bluetooth stopped functioning on my 15" PowerBook.

I only use it occasionally to sync with my palm and transfer files, and so it is usually turned off to conserve battery power.

Now, it is stuck on off and I cannot figure out how to turn it on.

Any suggestions? Terminal commands?

I saw a similar screen a few weeks back, do you keep your computer on or in sleep all the time? I reset the machine and it went back to normal, which is on all the time for me.

My powerbook has done this a couple times in the last few days. It happens after it wakes up with the lid closed (and external monitor connected). I'm not sure why it wakes up, as nothing is set to wake it up, but anyways, a restart has fixed it both times.

I had a similar problem before (couldn't turn my bluetooth off!)
The solution that worked for me was to open the Bluetooth File Exchange application; after that all worked normally again.

Thanks! A restart fixed it.

I haven't restarted the computer in such a long time that I didn't even consider it. :D
