Also if you have the program Blue Phone Elite on your mac you can use your mac as a speakerphone using the built in microphone on your mac and use it to dial out calls.

this is interesting but still disappointing that it looks like only contacts can be synced. guess it will remain crippled so people cant get around using itunes.

with that software I mentioned above you can now send texts from your mac with your phone on this beta!

I got it all set up, but says not able to send texts. How did you get that part working?

Its strange it wouldnt work on my unibody mbp but it did work on my silver imac

Must be the same reason bluetooth tethering doesn't work with the new unibody line-up.

For some reason I can not connect at all.

any help would be greatly appreciated I have a macbook.
but not the new unibody one.
Just the white macbook from 2007.
It will connect then say the connection was interrupted.

Could you give us more detail. Are you talking about Beta 4 or some beta of Bluephone?

Beta 4 on the iphone with the most recent version of bluephone

On there website it actually talks about 3.0 and says they doubt they will be able to get SMS working.... I hope it does though. I might try it soon on my unibody macbook, but I don't want to pay 25 dollars for it.
