I installed iOS 4 on my iPhone 3GS and tethering is enabled. If i jb my wifi iPad, is there currently any way to tether via Bluetooth?

iOS 4 for the 3GS has already been jailbroken. Jailbreak and install MyWi.

I don't think the BT stack on the iPad supports tethering. Whether a modified stack ala BTStack (which is currently only for mouse, kb and GPS) exists including support for tethering I'm not sure.

how did you enable Tethering on iOS4? Are you on AT&T? I have it on my 3GS, but I am on 3.0.1. I don't want to jailbreak so it would help if you could share how you enable tethering without JB.

I would also be interested in Bluetooth tethering to iPad. In my country tehtering was never an issue, it did never occur to the local providers to disable or limit tethering in any way. Every provider offers unlimited HSDPA internet plan for approx. $15/month (typically with some fair play policy), but I can't tether my 3GS to my iPad... :(

I don't want to buy separate sims to every gadget I own. Its frustrating that
seemingly the various limitations imposed by AT&T affects the software capabilities and design choices of Apple's mobile products, so we Europoeans have to suffer as well :) (or Apple does not want to allow 3G tethering, not to cannibalize the market of the more expensive 3G enabled iPads...).

It was just an option in the "Network Settings" menu. I turned it on and it just seemed to work. Of course, it only worked for 1 day. Now it wants me to contact AT&T to set it up.

I guess I'll just wait for MyWi to be updated and JB iOS 4. :(
