Bluetooth volume 2011 MBP

I have a 2011 Macbook Pro and recently bought a pair of wireless studio Beats headphones. I connected them to both my iPhone and Macbook Pro. On the MBP, the max volume is extremely low, but on the iPhone it is normal.

Is there any way to increase it or is this just how the bluetooth is implemented in OS X?
