Hi all iPhone 3G 8GB, when I try to pair it with my MB the MB detects the iPhone fine however the bluetooth on the iPhone just spins in discovering mode and nothing happens.

Just make it easy to sync I guess? I'm often only having a few minutes to sit down and do some work and I often cannot find the sodding usb lead or have left it at home.

Also just because I can ;)

Should I update to 2.01 ?

Unless it's a bluetooth headset, it won't do any good at all.

For some unknown reason, Apple crippled the heck out of bluetooth in the iphone. The tech they licensed hass all the current features available, they just weren't coded in/turned on.

Bummer.

That sucks really when you think the Macbook can see the iPhone and is capable of transferring the files and contacts and basically removing the need for the cable.

While I guess I should just shove it in my bag it's really annoying to have to whip out a usb cable to sync the phone with the Macbook when I've mates who can bluetooth sync.
