As Toast 8 is now out with Bluray support, isn't it about time they put them in macs.....or is that later :)

The day Apple does something because of what a third-party company has made will be a cold day in hell. They switched to a brand new architecture and didn't give a damn that the biggest third-party seller of software for the Mac -- Adobe -- was over a year away from delivering UB products. They moved the dock port and headphone jack 2 or 3 mm on the 2nd-gen iPod nano and didn't give a damn that there were hundreds of accessories that instantly became incompatible. Apple will put Blu-ray or HD-DVD in Macs when they are good and ready, and not before.

I don't think Apple will make the jump to either Blu-Ray or HD-DVD until a clear winner emerges. I doubt that any third party software will cause Apple to make such a big jump.
