Blurred User Picture at Login/Messed up volume/brightness control

I just noticed today that my user picture when I login to my account is blurred in 10.10. Also when turning up the volume or turning up the brightness the square box around it seems to be messed up. Anyone run into this? Quite clueless as to how to fix this. Pics are below
