Blurry text on monitor

I have connected my rMBP to Dell U2415.

Is there anything I can do make the text crisp? In Display settings I have the resolution set to 'Best for display'.

You didn't say how you connected it. According to Dell's website, the monitor contains a mini-DP port. You should connect via that port using a Thunderbolt cable from your Mac to the monitor.

You don't want to use HDMI because it probably can't drive the full resolution of the monitor.

I used the cable that came with the monitor: mini DP on the laptop end (port next to the power one) to DP on the monitor.

Ordered a Asus PB278Q.
