Bo bootable device message on MBP I need help

So I woke up at 6-7am and went for a run and when I came back I turned my computer on and I got a message saying,
No Bootable Device And Press Any Key..............

I force shutdown then power back up holding the option key and I select my Macintosh HD Startup disk and then it boots into my OS. The message didn't make me feel warm inside so I need some help. Anyone?

Could be that your hard drive is starting to fail, or it could be a one time occurance, keep a backup and a watchful eye on things.
