Bodygaurdz on the trackpad of Unibody MPB

I just installed my Bodygaurdz and I am happy with the install overall. However I didn't install the piece that covers the trackpad because I have some reservations.

Does the bodygaurdz effect the sensitivity of the trackpad?

If I do install the trackpad piece how do i avoid getting the squeegeed water out of the sides of the trackpad and into the computer?
