BodyGuardz Installation Gel?

I haven't had much luck doing wet installs, but the bodyguardz gel looks a little easier.

Can this gel be used to install other skins too?

I want to get a matte skin for the back of my iPhone 5, like Phantom Skinz or Ghost Armor and get the installation gel from Bodyguardz. Would this work?
