Bomb error in Mac Performa 580CD

Hi all

I have never seen this error before. I had no applications open and inserted a 3.5" floppy and the bomb error appeared. No text just the bomb and now is frozen. I tried to hold down the power button on the keyboard and nothing. How do I force eject and shut down the computer without damaging it? Cheers

Turn off the power switch at the back, wait a few seconds. Turn the power switch ON at the back. Now, hold down the mouse button and press the power button on the keyboard. Keep holding down the mouse button until the floppy ejects, then release the mouse button.

The power switch at the back doesn't turn the computer on, it just allows the computer to be in "standby" mode.

The power button on the keyboard doesn't act like much later power buttons.
