I am able to print using a shared printer attached to another mac in my office, when using word in my printer drop down menu. however bonjour printing will not work. The printer closest to me is an hp color laserjet 2600n. The printer is recognised when i select bonjour printers, however two pop up windows appear when i select the laserjet 2600n. The first is headed 'creating printer' with an endless turning time circle thing with the caption 'adding printer'... and the second appears half a second later with no heading, but says 'an error occured while trying to add the selected printer' and two buttons, one 'cancel', and the other 'print and fax preferences'. i have gone into the preferences, but with no luck. i have also tried to download the driver for the printer, but it appears it is only for ghosting on the paper, and it also asks me to plug the printer in (i dont think this driver will help my problem).
If anyone can shed any light on this it would be great. I do alot of printing, and... well... i'd like to be as lazy as possible and not walk the length of the office. Thanks to everyone who's read this far!
(also... it is on a windows network)
Regards,
Dane.
