Bonjour transfers slow down internet connection

Ever since installing Leopard, I've noticed that while transferring large files over Bonjour to my second iMac, my internet connection pretty much goes on hold. I can't open any websites until the local transfer is complete. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks.
