Anybody going to the Roo this year. This would have been my 3rd year but after seeing this year's lineup I'm probably going to pass. Even Coachella had a less than stellar lineup this year it seems. I've bolded the considered headliners.

Anybody go to Wakarusa? That might be my Bonnaroo replacement.

there's about seven bands on that list that i'd like to see, but i'd much rather see them all in a smaller venue so definitely not worth the trip for me

Yep, I only like a of those artists too, plus the ones I like are mainly people I've already seen once. Bonnaroo's lineup last year was great but I can't justify this one. Wakarusa, Camp Bisco, and Lollapalooza are on my radar.

There are a handful of good bands playing, but not enough to pay for festival priced tickets. It's the same with Coachella. I'm sort of lucky, though, since a few of the bands playing at Coachella I'd like to see are doing some shows here in Phoenix a day or two before they play at Coachella. April is a pretty busy gig month for me.

Boner-oo gets more commercial and mainstream with each iteration. I enjoyed the first one, the second had some positive moments, the third was ok, and I haven't bothered since. It's both a combination of poorer music and not-fun-to-camp-next-to idiots.

Give me a poorly organized Clifford Ball without enough portolets any day over some Kanye West crap. Has B!tchney Spears signed on yet?

As always, the best music festival of the year will be the one you don't hear about until it's over.

Has anyone heard of this festival who is up north. For me this lineup kicks Bonnaroo up and down the curb... and then some more. I think I finally found my Bonnaroo replacement.

I dunno... a chance to see Bela Fleck, Jerry Douglas, and Edgar Meyer playing together isn't to be passed up easily.

And Robert Randolph makes the kind of music that makes one really want to believe Christianity's happy horse***... to paraphrase The Onion.

I was thinking about this as my Bonnaroo replacement this year as well. The only good bands at Bonnaroo this year I have seen before. And there are some awful one on there. Metallica and Kanye on one bill seems more like torture than fun to me.

And The Black Keys are awesome and I never seen Modest Mouse.

I can't wait, I also hope to get backstage passes!! But I should be going to the 7/29 Pittsburgh show, however a couple of bands I really want to see won't be there :( Jack's and Rise Against..

I dunno... a chance to see Bela Fleck, Jerry Douglas, and Edgar Meyer playing together isn't to be passed up easily.

Yeah, its all about what you want to see. Most of the good groups at the Roo are artists I've seen or who aremplaying at Rothbury. Not enough bands for me to justify that hot sun and farm. At least Rothbury has some trees and shade.

Got my Rothbury ticket this week! No Bonnaroo this year for me.

I'd like to see Pearl Jam, but I have done that a bunch of times already....

Rock on. Good to see some other MacRumors members going. I still might go to Wakarusa too since it's so close and cheaper. Other than that this will be my first time to Michigan and the states surrounding it.
