Bookmark Syncing Won't Remove!

In iTunes I told it not to sync my Safari bookmarks, but it still has that Bookmarks Bar and Bookmarks Menu in my iPhone Bookmarks (I can't delete them and I don't want them there!).

How do I remove them? >_<

This question comes up often. It's not as simple as turning off sync to Safari. If I remember correctly, you need to now sync IE bookmarks through iTunes, then delete the folders in IE, then sync one more time. Turn off sync after that.

If that doesn't work, do a search. There are some recent threads about this same thing but there has been so much traffic here lately that things get burried quickly.
