Bookmarks P List (Help)

I am doing a clean install of snow leopard, but I don't want to have to write down all my bookmarks. Is there any way I can save my bookmark list to an external HD or DVD disk, then insert the folder into Safari after my new install of SL is in place?

Use Time Machine + Migration Assistant for the restore.

Ok, I did the file/export bookmarks option. Now I have an html file. What am I supposed to do with it?
