ok, I I just popped out my old hdd and installed a larger one. Installed a fresh OS and then I hooked up my my old hdd and started cherry picking what I wanted to bring back on the new one... the only problem is, How do I go about getting my favorites back on Safari, Opera and other browsers I was using?
I thought I could just go into the Library folder then whichever browser..ect. but I dont see any folders that mention browser names....ect.
Not sure what Im missing when it comes to locating them.

Buy an external enclosure for the old drive, or use a USB3/SATA dock or dongle.

Then...
... boot up from the OLD drive so you can access your browsers "as you left them" before you installed the new drive.

For Safari bookmarks, you'll want to re-open Safari, then export the bookmarks.
Move that file to the NEW drive, then reboot from the NEW drive, and re-import the bookmarks.

I think you'd want to repeat the process for your other browsers.

I've noticed that in the home/library/safari folder there is a pref file named:
Bookmarks.plist
I'm wondering if moving this file directly could "bring over" the bookmarks?
Worth a try, but again, the method above is "known to work".
