Bookmarks sync ?

Is it just me, or is bookmarks syncing 1 direction ? I can't seem to create bookmarks on my iPhone and have them show up on my Mac. This is really annoying since I spent 30 minutes last night screwing around and cleaning up my bookmarks.

I synced today for the first time since initial setup, and it seems to have blanked out my iPhone created Bookmarks. Very weird! All the Bookmarks from the computer are on it now, and it's honestly kind of a mess!
