Books app - no PDFs showing up

My Books app on my macOS desktop has all the books I've purchased from the store via any device, but none of the PDFs I've added to this same iCloud account via my phone app.

How do I get them to show up on the desktop?

In System Settings > iCloud make sure you have Books syncing turned on.
