Books Library Disappeared on Mac! iCloud Books Troubleshooting

Help. My Books library is completely absent on my Mac in the Books app. I have iCloud Drive set up with Books syncing (well, they're supposed to sync...).

On my iPad Pro and iPhone, however, the libraries seem intact. When I make a new collection, it syncs across those two devices.

What's the problem with my Mac? Please help me with iCloud Books troubleshooting.

This is KILLING me.

Buump...does anyone have this problem? What can I do? I suspect it has to do with iCloud Drive more generally.

My books sync okay. Might be worth toggling iCloud sync on both Mac and iOS devices. The News app wasn't sync'ing for me and toggling on phone nudged it into life.
