Bookshelf Speakers

Those are the speakers I am looking at, my questions go as follows:

1. Will these sound better than my current Bose Companion II 2.0 Speakers?

2. Are these good bang for the buck? Are there better speakers for the price out there?

3. What do I need to buy to connect these to my MacBook Pro?

To connect those to your MacBook Pro you would need to connect the speakers to an amp/receiver and then from there to your MacBook Pro.

If that wont work for you, you can always try something like these:

and all you would need is included with the speaker set. the aux cable and you're set.

Cheapest way to go would be to buy something like a T-Amp for those bookshelf speakers. I have the Klipsch Promedia 2.1 and I've happy with them.

I think the M-audios are one of the best options. Amazing sound reference and re-production. I use them for general audio listening, watching movies and referencing audio from logic and protools. i don't mix with them just reference and some editing on them and have great low-end and mid-range output
