I don't know if any of you guys use the app "Boom" (the app that boosts your MBP's volume output) or now but right not I'm looking at my activity monitor (with only firefox and mail running) and Boom is consistently eating around 18% of my CPU. I don't have any music playing so this app should just be chilling in the background right? Whats going on?

why do you need to boost the volume output? just buy a pair of decent external powered speakers.
