Curious if anyone who has had both can comment on the differences besides the price. It is very difficult to tell via their website. Thanks in advance.

The Vyper is a very rigid ballistic nylon, not very flexible at all. The Taipan is like cloth or heavy neoprene, very flexible but not rigid. For me the Vyper is a great choice when you're tossing it into a backpack with other things.

I just made the same choice and went Vyper.. very impressed... I based my decision on the 3/4 zip.. I liked the ability to open it and use it inside the case if I didn't want to set my MBP down on something or just needed it quickly vs the sleeve style..

Yeah I recently got the booq vyper m3, very good case. The ballistic nylon means it has a nice strong outer shell, which is good if you're putting it in a backpack with other stuff like textbooks.
