Hi,

Would have checked this myself but I haven't gotten around to installing Boot Camp 3.1 yet.

Anyone with a uMBP try to see if Boot Camp 3.1 allows the keyboard light to completely shut off in Windows 7?

I described it more here.

Thanks!

Updated last night.

Back-lit keyboard still won't turn off.

Tap-to-click also doesn't work if you're resting your thumb on the trackpad.

my keyboard in Win 7 turns off when I use the laptop in a room with bright lights, otherwise in a room with less light, even on the lowest setting the keyboard backlight is still on.

What really ticks me off though that the keyboard backlight is at maximum brightness after every reboot (once being used).

This is extremely lame, I mean how hard can it be for Apple to update this? This has been an issue for over 12 months

MBP Lights (Temporary Fix)

The only fix I found was to go to the task manager (Ctrl+Option+Delete) and kill the boocamp.exe process. After killing the process put your computer to sleep. When you wake up from sleep your keyboard lights will be off, however many bootcamp funcions will not work anymore (such as f10/f11 sound control, f12 eject, f1/f2 screen brightness, etc).

Apple is not fixing many boot camp issues by purpose. Or... do we have people here who miraculously believe otherwise?
