I have installed Windows 7 on my MacBook Pro before. I recently had to reinstall. I have Windows installed through Boot Camp, and it runs, but my drivers are messed up. I first tried to install the drivers (and boot camp) on windows through a Leopard install disk. Those didn't work. Then I installed the downloadable support software (which, as I understand it, is basically a newer version of the software on the Leopard disk). That didn't work either. When I boot Windows, the resolution is too low vertically, and the screen is squashed. On the second highest resolution (I will get the resolution numbers later) it is squashed, and it works with my Apple Cinema display (I use a cinema display because a section of my screen is broken). On the highest resolution, the screen on my MBP is still squashed, and the Cinema display turns off. Therefore, I can only use the cinema display with the second highest resolution (not that it matters, they are both squashed).

I have fixed this problem after a lot of hassle before (when I installed previously), and this time I am going to record what I did, in case this happens again. I have spent at least a week of intense frustration trying to fix it, and haven't gotten anywhere. I have tried running the installer as an administrator, used the repair function several times, and have done countless reinstalls of the support software. The main problem is the resolution, and also Aero won't work, even though I know my computer supports it. This is exactly the same problem I had before, so I KNOW there is a solution. I just can't figure it out/remember it. Any help is appreciated. Also I would like to know if ANYONE else out there is having or has had this problem.

I need a fix for this, as I make EDM (Elect. Dance Music) on Windows with FL Studio, and I need Windows to be up and running for my music.

Hardware information in detail:

MacBook Pro 17" 2007, 3 GB RAM, 2.33 GHz, OS X Lion 10.6.8 and Windows 7. Graphics: ATI Radeon X1600 256 MB (Listed as ATY,RadeonX1600 in System Information, I have always assumed this to be an error/typo).

If you need any more information, I will provide it to you. I will post the resolution numbers ASAP. Thank you for your anticipated and hoped-for help!
