I am planning on buying the new 15'' Macbook Pro Core i7 for college and i have a few questions. Like i needed a reliable computer that would last me a while, and the Macbook pro fit that need. But Im also a gamer, nothing big, mainly Cs:s and team fortress 2 and maybe a little Left 4 Dead. Will i be able to run these games in boot camp on windows 7 without having to set everything on low? And what games will i be able to run somewhat decent on boot camp?

Do note that steam is released on Mac. L4D2 and Team fortress are due to release native on Mac - plus if you already own it on PC you get it on the Mac.

I have been playing Portal on a 2.8GHz C2D @ 1920x1200 with 20-30fps on the Mac.

I have played on bootcamp as well and most stuff runs well at medium settings to high settings. Should be even better with the newer i5/i7 and video card.

With the i7/512mb gpu you'll be able to run any source game at high settings no problem, as well as a lot of other games. Some of the most demanding games youll be able to run at medium settings with little to no problem, maybe even some high stuff.
