Boot Camp help on a macbook with Mac OS X?

ok so i want to run windows XP Home edition on my mabook. i make a 15 gig partition for windows wait for that to finish creating. Then i insert the disk and wait for that to load up. Now here comes my problem. When it asks me what partition i want to use it only comes up with one that is set up as unknown and is the C: drive. Please help me i am confused and tired. Well, one of them should be about 15000MB in size, so that is the one that you format so you can install WinXP
