Boot camp help

I installed bootcamp and used it to partition my harddisk and everything went fine until windows finished installing and it tried to restart and then my computer froze. I then shut it down and started it up and it took me to the windows xp setup thing. After going through this it started up in windows xp home edition and everything seemed fine then i put the Mac Windows Driver disc in and it came up saying this was newer version of some updater and would i like to use this so i clicked yes and it came up saying "cannot find "UPDATE"" then wen i clicked ok it just quit out of it. Y wont this work?! also wen i tried to restart it went to the screen saying "windows is shutting down" then froze again. Im using a 2GHz Macbook wiht 2G ram and have 50G free on my HD and installed Windows XP Home Edition. PLEASE HELP!
