I have a mid 2010 Mac Pro, previously I’ve had windows (first 8.1 then 10) installed on a separate hard drive from the Mac OS. Recently I decided to do a little upgrade, so I bought two 1 TB hard drives, one for Mac OS and one for Windows. Getting everything back up and running however, has been a real pain in my a**.
I had no luck with boot camp assistant in Mojave, it just wouldn’t allow me to begin the boot camp process. So I decided to try installing High Sierra on one drive (figuring I’ll just update to Mojave after everything is set up) and the assistant worked as I figured it would, it created the driver USB and formatted the designated hard drive and rebooted. Went into the windows setup, selected which drive I wanted it installed on, but it wouldn’t work! I kept getting the error “the disk is of the GPT partition style”. I tried a bunch of things to get it to allow me to use the drive but nothing works.
can someone please help me with this? I really just want this to be finished.
