So...just got a brand new SSD in my MacBook. (late 2007 Core 2 Duo) I installed Snow Leopard on the drive and am trying to install Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit), just like I had it on the previous hard drive.
Boot Camp makes the appropriate partitions, nothing unusual. But when it gets to the installation step, the MacBook restarts and I get the gray-on-white Apple screen -- but the logo is on a 3-way toggle all of a sudden: it'll be the Apple logo for a few seconds, then a folder icon with a question mark on it for a few seconds, then a circle-slash icon...looped.
In other words, it seems to not want to recognize the Windows 7 install DVD.
if I boot straight into OSX, it mounts the DVD as if it were any other and has no problems reading it, but booting from it? Forget it.
I know it boots fine because I tried it in my PC.
Thoughts? I do have all the Snow Leopard updates installed...
