So I've been trying to get Windows on my MBP forever now... Finally got it to the point where it would install. However, the Boot Camp drivers did not copy over onto the USB drive I made. So I went into Boot Camp Assistant and did the option to get the drivers. About halfway through the system froze and stopped responding. I did a hard shutdown and tried again. Same thing.
Then I went online and found a link for the Boot Camp drivers specific to my machine. Downloaded that, opened up WindowsSupport.dmg, tried copying the contents over to another folder. Same thing. Freezes right before it starts copying. I even tried copying the .dmg over to an existing Windows machine and extracting with 7zip, but all I got was a file called 0.Apple_ISO
I have no idea what could be causing the thing to stop responding. All I know is that I can open the files in the .dmg (.pdf and ini), but cannot open the folders (like Documentation and Drivers) without freezing.
EDIT: Just tried mounting the .dmg in a virtual Win7 machine and copying the files over to a shared folder. The whole computer crashed and restarted. WHY CANT I GET THIS TO WORK
